Mildred Halfmann Gilman (MHG) graduated from Simmons College in 1939 with a degree in Physical Education from the joint degree program with the Bouve-Boston School of Physical Education. The collection contains course notes, assignments, and various examinations for four courses. Note: the Marriage course, a series of four lectures offered in the Spring of 1939 for interested juniors and seniors, was not listed in the 1938-1939 course catalog nor was it a credit course. The visiting lecturer was Prof. F. Alexander Magoun of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
